Yes, Modi govt amended it in 2018 and made it stringent..
However, without those amendments, Ajit Bharti would have faced the same legal troubles as he is facing now.
Before Modi govt amended this Act in 2018, nobody including Ajit Bharti and hid gang dared to call this act as Rajiv Gandhi Act.
Now to mislead the current generation and whitewash the original sin committed by the Congress party, out of blue, he has done new nomenclature of this Act..
