I just discovered one of our valued paid users silently upgraded after hitting their plan's quota and this made me join the $100 MRR club πŸ₯³ This fuels my courage and drives me to keep enhancing @copicakeapp for these remarkable users. #buildinpublic

I was using @copicakeapp and trying to make some automations for my personal use, and noticed that without the grid system, it's quite inconvenient in some cases. Eating your own dog food to enhance the product slowly! #buildinpublic

Based on the dashboard from @RevenueCat , it seems that the promo codes from App Store are tracked as part of MTR, but promo codes from Play Store are not part of it. (For lifetime one time product) Has anyone witnessed the issue?

After 1.5 months of hard work, I finally released Fightie WOD officially to three different platforms :D I also wanted to share a quick reflection on building this. I used React Native + Expo, and honestly, the ecosystem has come a long way! (It was chaos when I tried it 10 years ago) If you're also thinking about cross-platform apps, I'd definitely encourage you to give it a try. #buildinpublic
Finally, Fightie WOD is live on 3 platforms :) 🍎 iOS apps.apple.com/us/app/fighti… πŸ€– Android play.google.com/store/apps/d… 🌐 Web wod.fightie.com Browse daily WODs, scale your workouts, and keep everything in your pocket. Start training smarter today. πŸ”₯

My AI designer works way better than I thought. The previous version of @copicakeapp was a sh*t I would say, after comparing it with the new design now πŸ˜… Everything looks way more promising now, better UI, better UX, and everything lol πŸ‘ˆ Before πŸ‘‰ After #buildinpublic

You need 14 testers to actively test your Android app for 2 weeks, meaning they have to interact with the app daily (not just install it and do nothing). And all of this is only to get into the production review process. The app still isn't production-ready and could even get rejected. What a painful process for deploying your app on Google Play for the first time! 😩 #buildinpublic

Revamped the settings page! Now subscription details are displayed correctly, and the new design looks way better. Next up: integrating IAP on the app side, so the entire system works together seamlessly with support for both Paddle and App Store billing πŸ˜„ #buildinpublic

It's been a month, and finally, I have collected more than 1000+ training menus for @fightieapp to use. I also set up an automation workflow to automatically upload a new menu to its Instagram account to boost traffic. Everything is working like a charm :) #buildinpublic

As someone who has spent years working as an engineer, it’s been challenging to shift into a business mindset. No matter what, I have finally sent out my first cold email to potential sponsors to explore collaboration opportunities, and I hope to share good results soon!

It's quite fun to utilize AI to analyze each workout and find out commonly used movements. The result is - 88 movements are picked from 900+ records, not bad :) The progress to polish your own dog food really feels good πŸ’« #buildinpublic
πŸ“£ You can now filter WODs by movements! We've spent a lot of time analyzing every WOD to identify the most commonly used movements. With this, you can easily find WODs that match your training environment! #CrossFit #WOD #Fightie #HYROX

It seems that my strategy to build iOS/Android apps for @fightieapp WOD is slowly improving the website ranking! I think a backlink from a major domain is much more valuable than several from smaller ones. Will share more analytics data later if anyone is interested. #buildinpublic - Note: Domain Rating (DR) shows the strength of a domain’s backlink profile compared to the others in our database on a 100-point scale

I finally shipped the custom n8n node for @copicakeapp πŸ₯Ή Now Copicake works with both @make_hq and @n8n_io for automation! Just keep shaping the product step by step :) #buildinpublic

Eat your dog food! I have implemented a feature called daily WOD (workout) for @fightieapp and used my boy @copicakeapp to do the image generation work Right now, the whole flow works well, and it'll automatically make a daily post to the official account For details, the flow is like this: 1. Get the daily WOD from the Fightie server 2. Ask ChatGPT to generate a feeling after doing the workout 3. Pass all the needed information to Copicake to generate an image 4. Send the caption and generated image URL to Instagram 5. DONE! Also, I have noticed several pieces that can be improved when using the Copicake editor, and I will enhance them later πŸ˜„ ! It feels great to use what you have built to make something new :) #buildinpublic

I have been cooking Fightie WOD (@fightieapp) for almost one month, and based on the analytics, the efforts that I have spent on 1. SEO enhancements 2. new iOS Beta app 3. tons of minor fixes ... etc do slowly pay off, and it was like ~0 new users before! #buildinpublic

Wow can’t wait to see how it works on my new developed app!!
The new iOS 26 Liquid Glass UI works perfectly with 𝝠 Expo Router! Truly native to the platform πŸš€

I just realized that the more complete your documentation is, the easier and more accurate the AI can implement what you need. I just spent around 2 hours implementing everything that the custom node needs for @copicakeapp and submitted it for @n8n_io 's verification! Let's see if I can pass the verification in only one shot :) #buildinpublic #n8n

My digital assistant is slowly helping me prepare training menus for @fightieapp - already 200+ menus now As a solo entrepreneur, learning how to spend money is quite important, so you can focus on what matters most. I set a clear budget before building the product, which helps me stay on track. Just curious whether anyone also takes the same approach? If yes, how do you manage your budget when building products? #buildinpublic

Has anyone been working on a product that serves as an information hub and earns revenue from ads? I’m just curious about the best approach to driving traffic (mostly SEO?), and also wondering how hard it is to cold-email potential sponsors for affiliate partnerships Any idea?

It's quite a painful process dealing with the review team from @Apple. They pick one guideline to reject you, and after you fix it, they find another one. Sometimes you even need to explain everything in detail, or else they'll just rely on automated checks to reject you, even when it's not true. I knew it would be painful, so I started the process about a week ago before making it public. But right now, I am still stuck in the review process 😫 #buildinpublic

It's been 2 weeks, and I think it’s time to start writing about the new journey of @fightieapp I’ve been exploring a new niche for @CrossFit and #HYROX athletes, by coaching and training with the community for 2 years Then I created Fightie WOD - wod.fightie.com It's a growing workout library for CrossFit & HYROX athletes to train with, including daily WODs, scaling options, pacing tips ... and more If you’re into training too, feel free to check it out, and I am always open to feedback :) #buildinpublic #CrossFit #WOD #Training
