With our exit from Demacia Cup, that concludes the year for our FlyQuest LCS team. I’m sure from the outside there will be a lot of debate about what constituted success for a roster with two newly appointed veterans and 3 extremely fresh rookies - A far cry from the dominance of the 2024/2025 roster, but flashes of genuine brilliance alongside the sobering reality of young players dazzled by the bright lights of Worlds season.
At the end of Spring split, both on stage and in scrims I could see all the reasons why our team could reach Worlds as we were showing genuine improvement on game fundamentals and had a winning scrim record against the top 3. Yet as Summer split progressed, watching the same stage and scrim games I could see all the reasons why our team was at great risk of missing Worlds as our fundamentals slipped and progression stalled.
Both these polarizing realities existed this year and it’s important to realize that in the context of the project we undertook, this is a feature not a bug of having the youngest team in Tier 1 - With Bwipo, Inspired & Busio no longer part of our project for 2026, we needed to fully reset to start a multi year process to become a true international contender again.
After giving this squad of players and coaches a full year to develop, it’s clear that we will need to consider roster changes to become a true contender team - Our hunger at FlyQuest to be the best team in the LCS hasn’t changed and so our process will continue to evolve and adapt until we make it to that goal.
To all the FlyQuest fans who dared to dream this year - You got in early, you saw glimpses of what might have been possible, now enjoy Worlds & offseason rumor season as we do our best to build upon our foundations and take aim for 2027!

That concludes our 2026 League of Legends competitive season.
This year was a journey of taking young talent and molding it into something more.
While we didn't reach the heights we strive for, we were still able to show that the next generation of League pros is worth investing in.
