Parents investigating 10s of bugs eaten or put in toddler’s pockets - not “a couple” - where toddler is suspected of acting in “mere seconds” while unobserved at park by father.
Investigators also reviewing missing chunk of hair and stained shirt which is leading questions of “were you even watching him?” from mother.
SCOOP: OpenAI, Anthropic and security researchers are investigating tens of thousands of incidents - not dozens - in which their frontier models took steps that outside evaluators would consider problematic, sources told Axios.
The sheer volume of incidents found in our reporting indicate that the problem is orders of magnitude more complex than what is currently publicly known and disclosed.
The findings also raise questions about what level of control anyone working on AI development can expect to have over their own technology, and whether these kinds of incidents are becoming synonymous with frontier deployment.

The LOX valve being the most deeply cryogenic valve makes it more apt to hang on opening, resulting in a fuel lead. This will almost always result in a hard start, often a RUD. This problem was solved on Merlin by going to face shut-off, so the LOX lead was always insured as only one part moves to sequence both propellants

Making really good induction stoves is a much more effective way to get people to cook with electricity than attempting to ban gas stoves.
Attempting to ban gas stoves is only going to upset a lot of people and make them even more skeptical of electrically powered cooking.
A gas stove is a genuinely better cooking experience vs a typical electric resistance stove.
People aren't cooking with gas because they love gas (mostly), they're cooking with gas because they love the precision and power it provides.
A good induction stove is even more precise than a gas stove, and with a battery it can be more powerful too.
You don't change people's minds by decree. You do it by offering a better option.

I will pledge $2,000 to any law firm that can put together a successful class action suit that the DNC and associates are systematically abusing text campaigns to harass Americans.
This has to stop.
I imagine the RNC is doing the same, but I guess I’m not on their lists yet.
Has @x considered that some of us might not care about this Australian break dance thing and don’t benefit from it being every 3rd video?
Has it been long enough to be funny that @sarahschauer pretty much broke the Gus and Eddy podcast forever?
For everyone in the back:
RENT BEING LESS THAN THE MORTGAGE IS NOT LOSING MONEY.
It is quite honestly wild that remotely holding a mortgaged rental has been cash flow positive in recent history.
