This is what’s amazing about college football and why the regular season used to be the greatest one in all of sports. Now, a 24 team playoff ensures games like this won’t matter much, if at all. ESPN killed college football and it sucks.

I legitimately don't know one college football fan who is favor of this. This is college football's business people chasing some potential casual viewer in the sport's wastelands (like the Northeast) and the dollars they'll get selling the hope of that. Absolutely horrible.

The lack of urgency on any CFB Saturday is now gone. Every 10-2 team is in. Probably every 9-3 SEC/Big Ten team is in and even some 8-4. No suspense of failure. No big reward. No juice. Might be time to experience apple picking or a fall wedding for the first time ever.
