The Mets hosted a groundbreaking ceremony today to celebrate the construction of their new Player Development Complex in Port St. Lucie
Among the many features will be:
🔸 7,000 square foot weight room
🔸 5,000 square foot locker room
🔸 14,000 square foot batting cage
🔸 1,300 square foot training room
🔸 20,000 square foot turf field
David Stearns as he and others officially break ground on the project: "Since Steve and Alex Cohen bought this team, they've had an unwavering commitment to turning the Mets into the preeminent development organization in baseball"
The Mets will have the facility open by this time next year

The Mets broke ground on their 55,000-square-foot Player Development Complex in Port St. Lucie, a roughly $60M investment that could keep the team there as long as 2052 ⚾
The facility, expected to open for 2027 Spring Training, includes batting cages, a weight room, locker room, hydrotherapy area, training room and a synthetic turfed outdoor agility field.
