Hot take: CBDCs are the future, stables are just the training wheels.

I once again am asking… Does PJ Fleck know that he’s supposed to try and win football games? Punting down 14 with 3 minutes left is fireable. @GopherFootball

Do regulators need to change their reporting to adopt new settlement rails? At #BAC2026, @RyanKirkley explained why the answer should be no: support ISO and SWIFT messaging standards, and give regulators exactly what they already require. Not replacing SWIFT. Working alongside it. Watch ↓ @BitcoinEventsCo #BlockchainAfricaConference2026

Montana voters approved a ballot measure to ban corporations, nonprofits and labor unions from doing business in the state if they made political contributions. State's rights v. Citizens United. Will be fun to see SCOTUS deal with that one. Bravo Montana!!!

“CBDC” can describe very different systems. Wholesale CBDC Bank-to-bank settlement, securities DvP, FX and high-value flows. Retail CBDC Consumer payments, broad distribution and privacy-sensitive everyday use. Combination CBDC Models that connect institutional settlement with wider payment use through intermediaries. Same label. Different architecture. globalsettlement.com/solutio…

What happens to cross-border trade if a country is suddenly cut off from SWIFT? At #BAC2026, @RyanKirkley walked through a hypothetical, and why separate settlement rails could keep trade moving between willing counterparties. Resilience, not workaround. I’m a big believer that the level of difficulty and distance one has to walk from Baggage claim to the uber or Lyft pickup directly correlates to how poorly run a city is.. Congratulations @andreforatlanta and @ATLairport for truly being the worst the in the world

Everything wrong with crypto VCs in one sentence
OK hear me out. As bad as the Binance hack was, it's still kind of impressive that someone can steal $6 BILLION DOLLARS worth of assets in just 3 hours? The largest theft in the history of humanity... powered by the most efficient rails on the planet?

The @NBAOfficial and @NBA need to find a way to adjust games based on completely blowing it
In the NBA's last 2-minute report, it was concluded that James Harden should have been called for a foul on Anthony Edwards' drive late. Also, the steal from LaMelo Ball on Donovan Mitchell was deemed incidental contact. Not surprised at either determination.

Genuinely astounds me how bad loyalty programs have gotten on all airlines and hotels… I fly roughly 250,000 miles per year and stay over 100 nights in hotels… The reality is unless you are a budget traveler loyalty gives you zero advantages compared to booking business or the best deal on a hotel in a city.

“Settled” should not be a black box. For every corridor, an operations team needs to see: ✅ Status ✅ Counterparty ✅ Fees ✅ Liquidity ✅ Exceptions ✅ Final confirmation Infrastructure gets useful when the people running it can see what is happening. globalsettlement.com/banks

Africa does not necessarily have to recreate every layer of the financial system built elsewhere. New settlement rails create another option. One week from today, @RyanKirkley will explore that idea at @BitcoinEventsCo’s #BAC2026: The End of SWIFT?
