You’ve gotta use AI because it’s the future. But also it’ll take your job. But also it’ll create a paradise on earth and solve most of our problems. But also it’ll end humanity soon. But also you’ll get left behind if you don’t use it right now.

By our very own @ryanjbell: Pasadena renters won #rentcontrol and just-cause protections. Now landlords are trying to roll them back. Don't be fooled by landlord-backed ballot measures that claim to "protect" tenants while gutting tenant protections.

This is just embarrassing. I have little hope that Becerra will improve just about any of CA's many, many problems.
Almost everyone who worked with him in the Biden admin had a negative opinion of his work ethic and basic competence. And now he’s basically not even campaigning.
Visit Xavier Becerra's campaign website and you'll find attacks on Tom Steyer and messaging about voting in a primary that ended 10 weeks ago.

This is very obviously true and what it hints out but doesn’t explicitly state is that the very premise shifts the moral burden away from those with power to those without it, from the oppressor to the oppressed. No one forced Biden/Harris to take their genocidal position.
Ta-Nehisi Coates rejects blaming voters who wouldn’t back Kamala Harris over Gaza for her loss to Trump in 2024, saying many were asked to vote for a Democratic administration enabling a genocide against their own families.
“That’s you. That’s not me. And that’s not who I want to be,” he said.
He drew a historical parallel: Black Americans didn’t accept being sacrificed for Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal, whose Social Security and housing programs were written to exclude most Black workers in order to win Southern votes, and Frederick Douglass pressured and publicly criticized Abraham Lincoln through much of the Civil War, warming to him only late.
The author of The Case for Reparations added, “If we get access to any sort of power, we can’t do what was done to us.”
Stop the #sneakyrepeal!
This signature gatherer claims Pasadena rent control expires on Sept 30. The opposite is true! This landlord-backed petition would end rent control. Don't sign! Stop the #sneakyrepeal

Adams gets flattened by Bosnia's players not even making a play on the ball, not even a yellow card. Halogen incidentally steps down on a foot, video replay and red card given. Absolutely bogus call. This officiating crew has had it in for us from the start.
