REGIONAL CHAMPS!!! 🏐🏆💛🦅
What a day for Londyn and the Lady Golden Eagles! These girls played their hearts out today and won regionals in three sets! Now they’re headed to SEMI-STATE! 🙌
And what a way to come home—escorted back into town by our local law enforcement and fire department! 🚓🚒 There’s something pretty special about seeing a community show up and celebrate these girls.
We’re so thankful for the coaches who have poured into this team, the parents and families who have supported them all season, and every person who has cheered them on along the way. These girls have worked HARD, and it’s so much fun watching that hard work pay off.
We couldn’t be happier for Londyn and her teammates. What a season—and it’s not over yet!
NEXT STOP: SEMI-STATE! 💛🏐🦅
GO LADY GOLDEN EAGLES!
What do you do when God moves before you get to point three?
Peter hadn’t even finished his sermon when the Holy Spirit fell on everyone listening. The believers who came with him were stunned that God poured out the same gift on the Gentiles, and Peter asked who could possibly stand in the way of baptizing them.
I wrap up Acts 10 with a reminder for ministry leaders: God moves ahead of our plans and outlines. Our job is to recognize what He’s doing and make room for it. Plus a recap of the week and a preview of Acts 11.

We were able to break away for a few days and spend some time exploring Acadia National Park in Maine—and Maine did not disappoint! 🍁⛰️🌊
What an incredible place to slow down, take in the views, and enjoy some beautiful parts of God’s creation together. We’re heading home grateful for the memories, refreshed from a few days away, and reminded again of just how amazing our Creator is.
Now it’s time to trade the mountains and coastline for the volleyball gym! 🏐 Regionals, here we come!
Go Lady Golden Eagles! 🦅💛
Could you share the gospel with a five-year-old in under a minute?
Standing in Cornelius’s house, Peter didn’t start with a debate or a list of rules. He started with Jesus: who He is, what He did, how He died and rose again, and what it means for everyone who believes.
I walk through Peter’s sermon in Acts 10:36–43 and show how it gives ministry leaders a clear, simple model for sharing the gospel — without the big theological words and without watering it down.

Don’t let the pressure to grow your ministry become greater than your desire to grow the people in it.
What if the next step in your ministry isn’t opening your door, but walking through someone else’s?

22 years of Luci! ❤️🎉
Today we’re celebrating our girl and looking back at so many memories from over the years. Having a child with a disability brings its share of daily challenges, but those challenges are only one small part of Luci’s story. She brings SO much joy to our family—and honestly, to just about everyone she meets.
Luci has a way of making people smile, bringing laughter into a room, and reminding us to enjoy the simple things. She has taught us so much about love, patience, gratitude, and finding joy in every season.
We are incredibly thankful God chose us to be her family. Luci, you are loved more than you could ever know, and you truly are a gift to all of us.
Happy 22nd birthday, Luci! We love you! ❤️🎂🎈
Could the welcome you give this Sunday be the doorway to the gospel for a child?
Peter hadn’t preached a sermon yet. He hadn’t baptized anyone. But the moment the Gentile messengers arrived, he invited them in as his guests — a radical act of hospitality for a devout Jewish man.
I close out Acts 10:21–23 with a reminder that in kids ministry, the welcome often comes before the lesson. Plus, a quick recap of the week and a preview of next week, when Peter walks through Cornelius’s door.

Such a fun night at the Frank house! 🏐❤️ Beth and I loved getting to host the girls volleyball team tonight as they watched sectionals and got ready for their own match on Saturday!
Fazoli’s, games, lots of laughs, and a great group of girls. We love seeing the friendships and memories they’re making along the way.
Now it’s almost game time… GO LADY EAGLES! 🦅🏐🙌
What if God is already working on the other side of the door you’re praying about?
While Peter was still puzzling over his rooftop vision, the men sent by Cornelius were standing at the gate. God had been preparing both men, in two different cities, and He brought them together at exactly the right moment.
I unpack Acts 10:17–20 and encourage kids ministry leaders that obedience often comes before understanding. We don’t need the whole picture — just the next faithful step.

Is there a kid — or a family — you’ve quietly written off?
When God told Peter to eat what he had always considered unclean, Peter answered with three contradictory words: “By no means, Lord.” His objection sounded faithful. But God was patient and persistent, correcting him three times.
I explore Acts 10:14–16 and ask kids ministry leaders a gentle but searching question: who have we quietly labeled “common”? The sheet was about food — but it was really about people.

When was the last time God interrupted your routine?
Peter went up on a rooftop at noon to pray. He was hungry, lunch was cooking, and then God interrupted everything with a vision that would change the direction of the church.
I walk through Acts 10:9–13 and remind kids ministry leaders that God speaks in ordinary moments — and that some of our ministry “interruptions” may be God redirecting us toward the people He wants us to reach.

What if the most spiritually hungry kid in your ministry is the one you’d least expect?
In Acts 10, we meet Cornelius — a Roman centurion, a Gentile, an outsider by every measure. And yet he was devout, generous, and praying continually. God saw every prayer, and He sent an angel to answer.
Today I open Acts 10 with a reminder for every kids ministry leader: God is already at work in the children and families who don’t look like “church people” yet. Our job is to see what He already sees.

What a great Sunday! ❤️ Coming off an incredible week at the KidzMatter Conference, it was so good to be back home serving in kids ministry with Beth and the girls.
There’s something special about going from talking about ministry at a conference to jumping right back in and doing it! So thankful for these preteens, their energy, their questions, and the opportunity we have to point them toward Jesus. Love getting to serve together as a family! 🙌
What a fun day! ❤️ The Oak Hill varsity girls won the Grant 4 today for the FOURTH year in a row! The Grant 4 is always a fun one because it brings together all four of our county schools, and these girls played so well today.
As a dad, I just love getting to watch Londyn compete, work hard, and be part of this team. So proud of her and all of these girls! And to top off a great day, Londyn got interviewed on the radio after the game. 🎙️😊 That was a pretty fun way to end it!
Four straight years! Way to go, Oak Hill! 🦅
Every year, Beth and I pray that the Holy Spirit would use the KidzMatter Conference to impact more than just the people who attend. We pray that His presence would spill out into the hotels, restaurants, convention center, and throughout the city of Evansville.
Year after year, we have felt so welcomed by this city—from government and community leaders to the incredible people who help make the conference happen. And I’m always amazed at how God answers that prayer in ways we could never plan.
This is Susan. She is one of the security officers we hire to work the conference. This week, after being loved on and witnessed to by so many people in our KidzMatter family, Susan recommitted her life to Jesus Christ. 🙌
That right there is what it’s all about.
The banners will come down. The stages will be packed away. Everyone will head home. But the work God did this week will continue long after we leave Evansville.
God is so good. ❤️
Ten years. ❤️
This week, Beth and I celebrated the 10th KidzMatter Conference with our team and this incredible community of leaders.
People ask us all the time, “How did you do this? How did all of this come from such humble beginnings?”
If I told you what we did, you might think we had some master plan.
We didn’t.
We didn’t out-strategize anybody. We just followed the cloud.
Exodus tells us that by day, the Lord went ahead of His people in a pillar of cloud, and by night, in a pillar of fire.
They never got the whole itinerary. They got a cloud.
And they followed it. One day at a time.
That’s the only honest explanation I have for the last twenty-plus years of KidzMatter.
This week, thousands of children’s ministry leaders gathered together. For the first time, we welcomed youth pastors and their teams—and it was an incredible success. We offered more than 180 specialized ministry breakouts. The exhibit hall was full. We worshiped together. We laughed together. We learned together. We watched God move.
And someone even drove home in a Jeep Wrangler. 😂
Ten years ago, we had no idea the KidzMatter Conference would ever look like this.
We just kept following the cloud.
One day at a time.
One yes at a time.
One next right thing at a time.
And looking through these random pictures from this week, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude—for our team, our partners, our speakers, our volunteers, and this amazing community of leaders who have trusted us and walked alongside us.
God has been so faithful.
We still don’t have the whole itinerary.
So we’ll just keep following the cloud.
Let’s keep following it together. ❤️
Have you ever decided who a kid is before they've said a word?
Right after meeting Jesus, Saul started preaching in Damascus. But the people listening still had the old file on him: “Isn't this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem?”
Every kids ministry has children who walk in carrying a reputation. In today's episode of The KidMin Word, Ryan Frank kicks off KidzMatter Conference week from setup day and looks at how grace rewrote Saul's story, and how we can look past the old file to see who God is making a child into.
This week's challenge: pick one child with a reputation and speak who God is making them into over their life.

Major milestone today—the truck is LOADED for the KidzMatter Conference! 🙌 And since this is our 10th anniversary, it seems fitting that this truck is fuller than it’s ever been! 😂 Ten years of God’s faithfulness, incredible people, and a whole lot of boxes packed into one truck.
Beth and I are so grateful for every person who showed up today, jumped in, lifted boxes, moved pallets, and helped us get one step closer to conference week. It takes an amazing team to make all of this happen, and we’re thankful for ours. KidzMatter Conference… here we come! 🎉
When a new family walks into your kids ministry, what are the first words they hear?
Ananias walked into the house, laid his hands on the man he had feared, and said two words: "Brother Saul." Before the scales fell, before the baptism, before Saul had proven anything, he was called family.
Today on The KidMin Word, I wrap up the first half of Acts 9 with a challenge about welcome, recaps the week, and previews next week's episodes: Saul's basket escape, Barnabas standing up for him, and Peter raising Tabitha.
