Pat McAfee said this. Pat McAfee did that. Wake me up when Pat McAfee actually protects my computer from viruses like I freaking paid for.

Analytics are subjective and this imperfect. It's the same as "old school" scouting. One person's expected goals is not the same as someone else's. The science is in the flesh and blood details. The science is an also art. It's imperfect but it can help you get close to math. I love math--it's spiritual. But, we will never reach math--because math is perfect. Plus/minus IS perfect but it's not art. Same as shots on goal. Noah Kahan's song "Downfall" is perfect art---according to my analytics.

Should this go through, Sunny Mehta will have swung trades for Connor Hellebuyck, Luke Evangelista, Evan Rodrigues and Declan Chisholm (among others) since taking over as Devils GM in April. Bold start to his tenure.

Barrett Hayton is going to become a fascinating watch here. Utah matched his summer offer sheet, so he's on a one-year deal/can't be traded. Extend, or UFA only. 7 points in 10 games, 74% xGoal (!), Utah up 7-3 in his minutes. Playing mostly with Lee and Yamamoto.

this entire Jalen situation is much bigger than just a QB dealing with an injury, it’s about the utter neglect and mistreatment of black people when it comes to medical care.

I’ll say it and it might blow up in my face but I’d rather have Simon Nemec at 9M$ than Luke Hughes. Simon is better at just about everything than Luke other than skating.
