This is what slot players are mad about — meters being reset by casinos. The meter on the right is reset to 100 at every bet level.
The counter rises as customers play (and lose). The higher it gets, the more likely a player is to get a bonus. Customers are paying for the meter to go higher.
The casino resetting it down to 100 at their discretion is the same as if they took money from a progressive jackpot.
Today at 5:30 pst I’m doing a livestream on Substack for paid subs. Topic: Gorilla BPs — big players who look the part of a legitimate gambler, slyly taking signals and direction from their skilled partner. 💻

The media makes gambling look fun, like a game. I think demystifying it and explaining the risks to teens before they have an opportunity to bet could help. @alexwhitee and I talked about this a couple years ago.
Yesterday on VSIN I said talking to older kids about sports betting is as important as a safe sex talk. Mad respect for @nicole_noren

@beatingthebook great interview with @rxgamble. Loved how she called having the chat with kids the "safe sex" talk about gambling -helps normalize and highlight the relative importance. Any resources to recommend for a parent that isn't as fluent in gambling for their own talk?

After a decorated 24-year run at ESPN, Nicole Noren resigned in protest.
She couldn’t go along with the network’s all-out embrace of gambling.
For the first time publicly, in @CJR, Noren shares the deeply personal reasons behind her decision.

Great appearance by @rxgamble on @VSiNLive and great interview by @beatingthebook
Can’t wait to read Advantage Player by Gina. Although, knowing she narrated it, I might get the audiobook. Undecided as the book looks good
Headed to @CircaLasVegas this morning to go live on VSIN with @beatingthebook …if I can make it through traffic on Charleston.
How many years do I need to live in Vegas before I know how to avoid construction? 😣

I once got hit in the head and robbed at a ghetto convenience store cause they had a kiosk with good lines.
