Adobe has backpedaled on discontinuing Animate, but the only reason they didn't go through with their original plan is they couldn't with the backlash. It still sucks that its legally owned by people so out of touch with the people who use it.

🧵 I have a theory: Adobe is being pressured or paid into discontinuing Animate by AI companies. Why? AI is not convincingly replacing human creativity as well as the hype, & as a result the investments in AI are slowing down. Solution: shutdown off the human creative outlets.

This is a REALLY bad sign. What it basically shows is that the people in charge of the software we use see no value in us. Whenever that happens, you can be sure the relationship is dead. It wouldn’t even matter if they reverse the decision at this point. #adobe
