The Educational Bookshop in East Jerusalem is full with shoppers in solidarity a day after the Israel Police raided the Palestinian store, arrested its owners and confiscated books. They dropped the charges of incitement but still detain them for ‘disturbing the public order’

I will probably be studying this Michael Burkard poem for the rest of my life
I only learned yesterday that the poet Michael Burkard died recently. He taught me how to read like a writer and wrote poems I turn to in times of grief, confusion, joy & when buy a shirt or have to trust something.
I am indebted to him forever.
