Shri Vivek Chaturvedi, Chairman, @cbic_india along with Member (Customs), Shri Yogendra Garg, participated in an outreach programme organized by the Express Industry Council of India (EICI) & the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) to discuss the Customs policy reforms for the Express sector introduced in the Union Budget 2026, on 18.06.2026
Addressing the gathering, Shri Vivek Chaturvedi highlighted CBIC’s commitment to leveraging technology, automation and digitisation to facilitate faster, more efficient and transparent customs clearances while strengthening India’s trade ecosystem.
Shri Yogendra Garg underscored the importance of stakeholder collaboration in ensuring smooth implementation of the reforms and enhancing ease of doing business through simplified and technology-driven customs procedures.
The outreach programme aimed to engage with industry stakeholders, gather feedback, and promote awareness of the new measures designed to expedite clearances, support e-commerce growth and improve the overall efficiency of cross-border trade.

Key express trade enablers include:
· Removal of value limit on export via courier

· Extension of the duty deferment period
· Laying the foundation for ECCS-based clearances for SEZ, EOU, IGCRD, MOOWR and allied schemes
