Many of Brazil's best engineers work remotely for the world's most innovative companies. Why shouldn't getting paid internationally be as simple as receiving a Pix? My co-founder Michael Mason experienced this firsthand while paying engineers in Brazil from the US. Transfers could take days, FX fees were opaque, and the entire process was far more complicated than it needed to be. We knew the technology existed to make this experience dramatically better, but existing fintechs weren't built around how Brazilians actually work and get paid internationally. So we started where we'd seen the problem firsthand: engineers. We even hired some of our earliest customers :) Engineers know great products and aren't easy to impress.
