I'm taking part in this year's Swim Marathon in aid of @WaterAidUK . It starts tomorrow and ends on my 'big' b'day in October, so that's 26 miles in 12 weeks! If anyone can spare a few pennies for a fantastic cause, it would really help to motivate me 😊 wateraid.enthuse.com/pf/ruth…

Did you have a terrific birding trip to Iceland in May, but then lose your SD card with your 3,700 bird photos in Norfolk? I have it!
Sadly, my Puffin isn't a finalist in this year's Sketch for Survival comp so won't be exhibited or be in this year's auction. It was Highly Commended in the comp though and is now available to buy through the @realafrica website: explorersagainstextinction.c…

Very sad news - Tony Soper, a huge influence on generations of birders and broadcasters, who I had the huge privilege of working with and getting to know, has died aged 95. The last person who was there at the start of the BBC Natural History Unit. A lovely man.

10 km done, 11 km to go. Struggling to fit enough swims in as I’m away from home 6 of the 12 weeks this challenge runs. I’m seeing welcome fitness improvements though & appreciating the enforced time away from life stresses. Please sponsor me and @ruthwalkerap if you can <3
Please support me & @ruthwalkerap with our swim challenges, to raise money for Water Aid. Access to clean and safe water is a privilege everyone should be able to share in: wateraid.enthuse.com/pf/ros-…

🚨BREAKING: Rock Band Foo Fighters to sue Trump over “My Hero” song, will donate royalties received to Kamala
“Appropriate actions are being taken, and any royalties received as a result of this [Trump’s] usage will be donated to the Harris campaign.”
What’s your response?
I'm 5 swims into my @WaterAidUK #swimmarathon I've swum 8 km so far, only another 34 km to go 😂 I'm nowhere near the swim fitness level I used to be, but I'm loving it, even if it is tiring! If anyone would like to sponsor me, that would be amazing 😊 wateraid.enthuse.com/pf/ruth…

Super day with @ruthwalkerap at @RSPBTitchwell which is so much more than just birds! Just a selection of other 'stuff' - Bloody-nosed beetle, male Early Bumblebee I think, my first Migrant Hawker of the year & a razorshell wreck. Good to bump into @mrrmike

For decades, Big Oil have DESTROYED our planet & ecosystem, POISONED vulnerable communities, and COVERED UP evidence of their environmental damage.
Yet peaceful activists who protest this get lengthy prison sentences.
Maybe we should start locking up the REAL climate criminals?

Happy Flying Ant Day to all who celebrate! And if you don’t - Flying Ant Day is the ants’ WEDDING DAY, where daughter queens and males take to the sky to mate, and the queens then found a new nest. Please let them get on with it, thanks! #flyingantday #brighton #brightonandhove
All set up at the Thetford Big Green Fair. Come and say hello if you're passing - there's lots to see and do, with a full programme of talks and music throughout the day. We're here from 11 until 3 pm. #environment #biggreenfair #thetford #Norfolk
