Yes, Michael: DNA evidence shows that both peoples are indigenous to Palestine & are cousins. That is why so many of us believe that both must share it equitably & that the ethnic cleansing of either side cannot be tolerated. At the Balfour Declaration, however, 90% of the population was Christian & Muslim, & the British Mandate ended only 30 years later with 85% of that population being uprooted & expelled, many onto the sand dunes of Gaza. There they continue to be slaughtered in what the UN now recognises as a genocide. Only when both sides are safe & secure within their own state borders will justice be achieved and peace finally come to a region that has been so deeply troubled since 1917.

With the world looking elsewhere, the militarization of aid adds another layer to Israel’s deliberate imposition of genocidal conditions against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip. Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed and injured at or near aid distribution points since Israel’s weaponized “humanitarian” aid distribution system was imposed at the end of May.
