I really did it! I’m in disbelief! Ran my marathon in 3:45:58! Beat my goal time by 4 minutes, even! I’m so happy!! Oh and it rained the last 20 miles of it!
Went pheasant hunting for the first time yesterday & made pheasant pot pie for dinner today, with homemade crust! Here’s a picture before I put the top dough on.

55,000 people ran the Chicago marathon. For every person who ran, at least two people said to them, "26 miles? I don't even like to drive that far!"
= 110,000 times that comment was made yesterday

This is still one of my favorite videos.
Just look at the bodyguards, they look so happy too, bringing all these babies to him to bless 🥹🤍
Possible IT band flare up Saturday afternoon 😩 left me hobbling around the house with no #longrun this weekend. Didn’t do much today except rest, read, and bake. #halfmarathontraining

This is the tower to MFH and my radio station, Classic Book Radio.
We started the station 13 years ago, broadcasting audio books. No commercials. No music. Just books!
With our move a year ago from north Mississippi to southern Mississippi, we also sold our property where the antenna and transmission shed sit.
Currently we are in the process of transferring the station and our nonprofit to a gentleman about 10 miles from the equipment.
Lots of paperwork to make the FCC happy but we’re excited to have found an enthusiastic person to take over our FM station!
The station will not be broadcasting literature anymore. The new owner will be turning it into a music station, which is his prerogative!
Until everything is finalized, we’ll still be bringing you our regular content ☺️

There is a dangerous little window after I complete one task where I could either become unstoppable or look at my phone.
Absolutely shocked the other weekend I ran a 26:19 5k. It did NOT come easily. I really worked to be consistent this fall & added a few interval workouts. #runner #halfmarathontraining #detroitzoo

Think I had the best round of golf (scramble) today. Many beautiful shots. Cannot believe it. What a good day 😸
I love how Outlook deletes meeting emails the moment I hit accept. It’s a genius idea, because obviously I’ll never need the agenda, Zoom link, meeting details, or literally anything else from that email again. Truly incredible software.
8 mile long run this evening. 21.7 miles for the week! I hope I can keep this up. #halfmarathontraining

Well waste of a morning on a day off due to a migraine but the positive news is I’m feeling better to start my day.
I wanted to run 3 miles today. Maybe it will happen after the family party.
