watching all these "Americans will never protest like the french" tweets from the american city that is regularly in the news for protesting like the French but being shamed and attacked by both Americans and our own government for it
am i poking a bear if i say that strawpage is really ugly and the lack of shareability or reply function makes it clear its core demo is people who want to leave anon hate and people who want to seem popular by posting all of their messages somewhere else
if your "protest" is supported, sanctioned, or permitted by the entity that you are intending to influence, then it is not a protest
if you are so passive and gentle in your activism that no one is inconvenienced or negatively impacted, there is zero pressure to change anything

truly i think this is yet another example of people as a whole becoming so selfish and exponentially losing care for others to such an abysmal degree that their entire social ethos is "well if it's not ILLEGAL then I should be allowed to do it without any opposition whatsoever"
sorry for making everything "too deep" but morality matters more than legality ever will. good people get punished for regulatory infractions every day while the most evil person you know has never been legally convicted of a crime.
