Short answer: budget Long answer: the slow lost art of hand drawn animation replaced by flash/toonboom and outsourcing all of the animation overseas because of said loss of budget and artists burn out bc of shorter deadlines and tighter budgets and insecure contracts

I miss traditional 2d disney animation. It's almost like a lost art at this point. It's rare to find other studios which handle animation this vigorously.
