Will @fssai @DeptConsumerAff look at this? Why should stores be allowed to levy a convenience fee for credit card transactions?? Because they can? Because you are quiet about platform charges?
The end of a good world is near Stores are now charging extra for using credit cards to pay. How thin margins you have @WestsideStores What authorities are doing?

Gyanesh Kumar being confronted by a Kerala MLA, T.H. Mustafa when he was collector of Ernakulam. He was collector of the district from June 2001 to July 2004. There were many complaints that he supported the sand mafia and aided illegal sand mining in rivers. When Mustafa made a pointed accusation at a meeting Gyanendra said: Election has been declared. I am the district election officer. If you can’t talk decently I will leave the meeting.’’ The confrontation was then widely reported in Kerala. Another former MLA TM Jacob is looking on. The sands haven’t shifted. The man is the country’s top election officer now. The confrontation continues. Will he leave? (Courtesy: KA Shaji @KAShaji123 )

The use of pellet guns should be banned. They don’t merely deter; they are instruments of deliberate punishment and risk causing permanent impairment to the affected. Crowd control measures cannot be aimed at punishment, which should come only at the end of a trial. If the Supreme Court intends to ban the use of these weapons, it can quash the administrative rules and standard operating procedures that make their use legal. The Court can do it under Article 142 of the Constitution. #Pelletguns #SupremeCourt deccanherald.com/opinion/edi…

You saw @narendramodi's ridiculous video saying he forgives 'our daughters' for their abusive language at Jantar Mantar ... now read @AnandTeltumbde's brilliant piece in defence of the profanity of the protesters. "Every hegemonic order establishes not only acceptable political opinions but also an acceptable political language. Civility, respectability and decorum become part of the discipline through which power regulates dissent: protesters are expected to be polite even while protesting injustice. But history suggests that ruptures typically begin by breaking this linguistic convention. The language of revolt is seldom parliamentary. It is emotional rather than measured, mocking rather than deferential, often deliberately transgressive – and what looks like vulgarity to the establishment is frequently the first public expression of accumulated humiliation and anger." thewire.in/politics/in-defen…

Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation is a victory for democracy. It would be a folly to consider that the students' protests were just about exams or education. They were about freedom, good governance, fair conduct, and the future. The Modi government has tried to enfeeble the Opposition and create an Opposition-mukt Bharat, but the youth have shown that they can fill the void and take up the challenge. deccanherald.com/opinion/edi…

Umar Khalid says his PhD thesis was written not just for a doctoral degree but as an act of resistance — against lies, propaganda, and the use of state power to silence our voices. The words are relevant when the state power is seen in action to silence other, younger, voices. @UmarKhalidJNU

#DHEdit Welfare/passports can't be linked to inclusion on the voters roll.
West Bengal government is extending the #SIR exclusions to other areas of citizens’ rights. The issue goes beyond PDS, welfare schemes and Rajagopal’s passport. The SIR process itself was faulty, and its outcome should not be put to other kinds of wrong uses in administration or politics. . deccanherald.com/opinion/edi…

In India, cleaning up after themselves is seen as a job who comes from the lower caste. Hence, it is where it is today. Most Indian cities resemble trash cans.
A powerful lesson for every nation 👇🙏 Japanese fans always take the time to clean the stadium after their team’s match. What incredible respect and discipline! 🧹🇯🇵👏 VIDEO Source: FIFA ( @FIFAcom )
