Finally got off my duff, added my Mastodon link to my profile, and did the "follow my Twitter followers on Mastodon" thing, courtesy of the very fun mastodon-flock.vercel.app. Not that I twoot that much anyway, but I'm over at xoxo.zone/@rufo for now.

Replying to @marcoarment
@marcoarment FWIW, I've heard Blackmagic kit is pickier about HDMI input resolution/timings then Elgato; the few streamers I knew that tried it wound up using SDI converters, moved back to Elgato capture equipment, or used random Amazon finds that are never findable again.

You may have better luck with PC capture then random consoles, though, since you can control the output better; and this was from a few years ago, so the situation may be different now.
Great app for a retweet.

On top of everything else going on in the world, I'm out of meds, and getting more of a C2 prescribed when half the pharmacies in the Cities are shut down isn’t easy. This has left me feeling drained and devoid of energy since Saturday, and it's been difficult to find my words.

Please, _please_, put in the work, money, time, conversations with friends/family, showing up to protests, whatever it takes to dismantle white supremacy and police brutality and lift Black voices. People are dying, and Black Lives Matter.

So between @y3l2n, @rufo, and @graysonchao, we've actually upped the total pledged matches to around $9k. Thank you all so much! KEEP THE DONATIONS COMING. (Yulan might be tapped out at this point, since she was the first to cover the overage. I'm not sure yet!)
Aisha Blake@AishaBlake30 May 2020
It's okay if you can't be on the front lines. If you have the means, now is a great time to donate. Starting now, I'll match up to $3,000 to Black Lives Matter, bail funds, and mutual aid groups. See if your company will match your donations as well! Reply or DM w/ receipts.

There’s absolutely no way I could pass the coding interview at any of the big tech companies. Even the ones where the interviewer learned to code from one of my tutorials.

A good Hacker News comment on tech interviews.

If 1024 fair coins are each tossed 10 times, chances are good (> 63%) that at least one will come up heads 10 times in a row; and that coin will be proud to explain how its skill, faith, guts & determination made its achievement possible, and how that combo can work for you too.
