This is #SanDiego City Council President @SeanEloRiveraD9 violating state law (the "Brown Act") by interrupting the public testimony of Susan Baldwin and @dannyavitiasd during a Special Session on... Brown Act violations.
Before Sean interrupted Susan and Danny, they were suggesting actual steps and actions the @SDCityCouncil can take to actually demonstrate their "unconditional commitment" to our right to speak freely- without interruption or other impediments- under the state's Public Meeting Law (Brown Act).
Please share these videos to help #SeanEloRiveraD9 and his colleagues understand the legal problems with his repeated interruptions and other actions.

If the storm runoff is now flowing harmlessly after a few days of clearing, WHY was it not done before last week’s rain that flooded people’s homes? Years of neglect by City leaders left underserved communities at risk? Lack of leadership before disaster left ppl victimized.
City crews continue to carefully monitor Chollas Creek as rain continues to fall throughout the day. After extensive emergency clearing at multiple sites along this channel, the stormwater is flowing without obstruction and is well within its banks. sandiego.gov/storm

We have condemned homeless disabled persons, couple caretakers, seniors without a housing match, LGBTQ+ over 24 and persons needing recuperative care to live on the streets without safe shelter or adequate housing then we send police to arrest them for daring to erect a tent.
