Warwickshire Police is appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage after two people sadly died in a collision on the M40 yesterday evening (Saturday 15 July).

Also passed just minutes after accident occurred. Looked like a severe collision, consistent with one car being stationary. Saw two people receiving CPR. Huge respect for those people with medical training who stopped to help before emergency services arrived.

A car in the middle lane stopped right in front of us, we swerved into the left lane to avoid a collision. We were very lucky. I called 999 immediately to report it. I imagine it was a matter of seconds before someone collided with the stationary car.
