Happy to be visiting sites in Galicia, N. Spain, with PhD student @rubygeorge_ and the @BEcologyCIIMAR team. This is the southern (warmest) region in our collaborative study on the resilience of intertidal forests along a latitudinal gradient.

Pleased to share my latest PhD chapter; where me & @pimientoc investigate the rise & fall of shark functional diversity during the Cenozoic era.

Analysing >9000 teeth, we find that shark functional diversity was high for most of the last 66 million years, but has steadily declined over the last 10 million years to its lowest value today (1/2)
