If you're in the Nottinghamshire vicinity, Southwell is celebrating its Bramley Apple Festival on Sat 24 October. The Minster alone is well worth a visit - here's the stained glass window installed in 2009 to mark the bicentenary of Mary Ann Brailsford sowing the first Bramley.
