If I ever do this, and have not disappeared from society by the time she gets loose, you will know that I am no loner mentally competent

Kevin Williamson - on Texas, from Texas. The best reported article I've read this cycle. Classic KW writing -- is there anyone better? -- and deep insights throughout. As enjoyable as a second helping of dessert and as nourishing as your veggies. thedispatch.com/newsletter/w…

I don’t want attention and to emphasize that, I’m making a video of me working out with the camera angle directed at my backside from the ground looking up and then posting it to my social media account for engagement

Solidarity means centering yourself in other people’s trauma, in front of a camera, with good lighting.
I was mid-hip thrust when I found out @Shanemgillis had called me a whore. Technically I found out four hours later, when I reviewed the footage of Saturday Night Live. My tripod was on the bench, my ring light was clamped to the squat rack and my boyfriend Tanner was holding the back-up phone for the side angle. Tanner films all my content. He is not allowed to look at me. The “joke” was about how women dress at the gym. I know it was about me, because everything is. So I did what any survivor would do. I went to my car and filmed myself crying. It took 11 takes, because the lighting in a Range Rover is unforgiving, and grief is no excuse for a bad shot. In the final cut, you can see a single tear land on my sports bra right over the logo, which clicks through to an affiliate link. My caption: “I’m literally shaking.” Then I put on the shortest shorts I own, went back inside, and filmed my ass from three angles with the caption, “Does this outfit work for you, Shane Gillis?” I wanted to send him a message that my body is not for men. To make sure Shane got the message, I tagged him. Then I tagged every man I follow. Some people say my response proved his point. These people are rapists. ✍️ @BridgetPhetasy Article: spectator.com/article/shane-…

Damn. Two real men and a helluva woman
“About two years ago, I started dating someone. A few days in, she laid out a verbal agreement: a certain number of days each year, she would be with another partner. We agreed on the days together in advance, and on those days I would need to let her be with him. She loves him very much. Honestly, I'd heard about him a few times, and we had even met in the past. Even before I knew we'd be together under this agreement, I understood her completely. You can't give up on a guy like that, he's the best there is. Salt of the earth. On each of those days she goes to him, sits and talks with him, shares her life with him: her work, her successes and her struggles, and also our relationship. They can sit for hours, talking about the future and the past, about everything they did together and everything she still wants to become. And me? Well, I usually wait at home. I give her that; it's part of the agreement. Most of the time she's with me, and when she's with me, she's with me one hundred percent. Every now and then, when we're together, I ask about him: about his career, about their relationship, what there is to learn from him, and how we're different. Over these years, I've discovered that it doesn't bother me. I love her, and she loves both of us. It all happens together, completely. One doesn't overshadow the other. But sometimes I wonder what would have happened if he hadn't been killed. We never would have met. And I wonder whether I'm her blessing, but also part of her curse. Am I doing something wrong, or am I part of the healing? And this too all lives together, and that's okay. When we started dating, I told her that in this world, we're in it until the end. And when we go to the next world, I release her to go back to him and pick up where they left off. And I love her, I love her very much. I love him too. In memory of Major Benji Trakinsky, who fell in the battle to defend Kibbutz Be'eri on October 7 💔” -Nevo Dan, translated from Hebrew.

If every single Fever fan doesn’t point at her the entire game after this they’re pussies.
Nah this angle actually makes me mad 😭 A’ja is heated afterward telling her teammates “he just pointed at me…” And somehow THIS turned into discourse about Indy fans being uniquely hostile? Over a fucking POINT?

I am sharing this video a second time because Sunny Hostin really does an amazing job here. "The pictures of these young men who have not been charged, have not been adjudicated, are being plastered all over the internet. I think people are reporting this story inaccurately. I think they are reporting it unfairly. And while this is something we have to take very seriously, there is no way according to her statement in 2024 that any prosecutor would have brought this court case."

Today's Dave's Car ID Service is a FLAME WAR! Yesterday we looked a some of the Old Masters of car painting, today we focus specifically on the art of the flame paint job. The first documented example of which was seen at the 1934 Indy 500, on Kelly Petillo's handsome Miller. History does not record who painted them, and one might think simulated flames on a race car is tempting fate. But it wasn't so for Kelly Petillo, who returned to win Indy in 1935 with a similar flamed-up Offenhauser. It would be the first of many wins at Indy by Offy. But that proved to be the highlight of Kelly Petillo's racing career. He later flamed out, so to speak. Spectacularly. He was arrested numerous times, including charges of rape and attempted murder; his attempted murder arrest was in Victory Lane at Owosso Speedway after winning a race there. He spent 8 years in the Indiana state pen before he was paroled, promptly violated his parole, and was re-arrested in the crowd at the 1957 Indy 500. So, I dunno, maybe there is something to the idea that flame jobs are bad mojo.

This is Saher Nidal Saqr. This orc took place in the massacre at the Nova music festival and was captured on film dragging away Noa Argamani as she reached for her boyfriend Avinatan Or. This became one of the most iconic images of the massacre. Today, Saqr was splattered.
