DPS Chettaphan joined the Thai delegation at the 48th session of the World Heritage Committee in Busan, the Republic of Korea, where Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan, Nakhon Si Thammarat, was inscribed on the #UNESCOWorldHeritage List, making it the first World Heritage Site in Southern Thailand and the country’s ninth. รองปลัดเชษฐพันธ์ฯ เข้าร่วมคณะผู้แทนไทยในการประชุมคณะกรรมการมรดกโลกสมัยสามัญ ครั้งที่ 48 ณ เมืองปูซาน สาธารณรัฐเกาหลี ซึ่งที่ประชุมมีมติให้ขึ้นทะเบียน “#วัดพระมหาธาตุวรมหาวิหาร #จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช” เป็น #แหล่งมรดกโลก นับเป็นแหล่งมรดกโลกแห่งแรกในภาคใต้และแห่งที่ 9 ของไทย (25 ก.ค. 2569)

DPM/FM @SihasakPh met with Friends of Thailand from Japan’s political and private sectors. They exchanged views on political and economic developments in their respective countries, regional situations, and responses to recent global uncertainties. DPM/FM also stressed the promotion of Japan’s investment in Thailand in AI, robotics and digitalisation, as well as increasing Japan’s role in the region. (12 June 2026)

DPM/FM @SihasakPh met with H.E. Mr. Motegi Toshimitsu, FM of Japan. Both agreed to advance CSP to respond to global challenges, especially in the areas of economy, security, people-to-people exchanges, and high-level exchanges, ahead of the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2027. DPM/FM also supported Japan’s Updated Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP), which aligns with Thailand and ASEAN’s position. (12 June 2026)

ข่าวดีสำหรับผู้ถือหนังสือเดินทางไทย! คณะกรรมาธิการยุโรป @EU_Commission อนุมัติมาตรการ Visa Cascade สำหรับประเทศไทย ซึ่งจะอำนวยความสะดวกให้ผู้ถือหนังสือเดินทางไทยที่เคยได้รับและใช้วีซ่าเชงเกนอย่างถูกต้อง และมีประวัติการเดินทางที่ดี ให้มีสิทธิได้รับวีซ่าเชงเกนประเภทพำนักระยะสั้น แบบเข้าออกได้หลายครั้งที่มีอายุยาวขึ้นตามลำดับ (สูงสุด 5 ปี) ซึ่งสะท้อนถึงความร่วมมือที่แน่นแฟ้นระหว่างไทยกับสหภาพยุโรป และจะช่วยส่งเสริมการเดินทาง การค้า การลงทุน การศึกษา และความสัมพันธ์ระดับประชาชน (8 พ.ค. 2569)

Good news for Thai passport holders! @EU_Commission adopted the Visa Cascade scheme for Thailand, which will facilitate the issuance of multiple-entry short-stay Schengen visas with progressively longer validity periods (up to 5 years) for Thai passport holders who have previously obtained and lawfully used Schengen visas and maintained a good travel record. This reflects the close partnership between Thailand and the EU, which will help promote travel, trade, investment, education and people-to-people ties. (8 May 2026)
