@twilio @twiliohelp Most of our programmable messaging is sending SMS to ourselves.
We are sending alerts and intra-company messages between people who know each other personally (or are machines that we own).
So why can't we bypass A2P 10DLC by proving number ownership ?
While we're at it:
This challenge/response workflow applies to email: you could FINALLY add the email twiml verb.
CC'ing SMS to an email is a complicated and fragile multi-API abomination with sendgrid and there is no reason for it if I control the recipient address.

Just saved my ass by retrieving the oldest possible zfs snapshot (3 months ago) of my .localrc at my backup at @rsyncnet. Glad I customized the snapshot cadence.
We were reminded today that the #litestream tool, which can continuously stream #sqlite changes, has support for plain old #sftp. This means you can point your log shipping jobs to an rsync.net account:
litestream.io/guides/sftp/

Further discussion of ZFS Metadata Special Devices - including expanding them. Some discussion of fast resilver, security policies and defense in depth.
An hour long interview with rsync.net CEO John Kozubik was just published:

John was interviewed by W. Curtis Preston on his background, the history of rsync.net, and various use-cases and policies that we employ.
You can store github repos in your rsync.net account by running 'git' over SSH:
rsync.net/resources/howto/gi…
There is support for LFS as well as credential stores for private repos.
You're a cron job away from immutable, independent backups of your git assets.
If you are an rsync.net user and would like to share your experience and/or recommend our cloud storage platform, this thread:

... would be the perfect place to do it.
It's our first advertisement in almost five years ...
