This is huge!!! I’ve always believed Rspack’s strengths become even more apparent as web apps grow. Dev/prod consistency, build flexibility, and bundle optimization all matter more at scale. ChatGPT and GitHub are great examples of that.

Every large-scale application eventually learns this lesson the hard way: ESM can’t scale without a webpack-style runtime and chunking system. Any bundler that aims to work well for large applications will eventually end up adopting a webpack-style runtime architecture.

Try using Vite on a project with +1M lines of code. Now add to that that the chunking level after bundling is 1:10. So you might get pages need 1K JS modules because of shared one line chunk. ESM native bundling isn’t good enough

Rspack isn’t just about migrating legacy webpack apps. We’re seeing more and more modern web apps choosing Rspack or Rsbuild. And now that agents can handle much of the build config for us, complexity matters much less than it used to, while webpack’s extensible architecture becomes increasingly valuable.

Rspack's code splitting balances bundle size, chunk count, and build time. The next release adds `splitChunks.dedupDepth` to spend more time finding shared code and reducing duplication. In one real-world app with many routes, using this option cut total output size by 9.9%
