I'm never complaining about hot weather in London. The weather in this country sucks 99% of the year. I pay good money to go to southern Europe to enjoy this weather. Amber alerts and health warnings can go suck donkey balls.

At this stage, the statement, " India is not for beginners", is a cop out. An excuse for mediocrity.

The level of ignorance in the west about colonialism is off the charts. The statement that former colonies were made far wealthier and more successful is just an outright lie. There isn't a single colony that became richer as a result of colonialism. HK & Australia don't count
Not long after World War II the West dissolved its empires and colonies and began sending colossal sums of taxpayer-funded aid to these former territories (despite have already made them far wealthier and more successful). The West opened its borders, a kind of reverse colonization, providing welfare and thus remittances, while extending to these newcomers and their families not only the full franchise but preferential legal and financial treatment over the native citizenry. The neoliberal experiment, at its core, has been a long self-punishment of the places and peoples that built the modern world.

The problem with murals for a slain person is that it is just performative virtue signalling. It doesn't really address the real issues around crime and the lack of any enforcement and other underlying issues. These murals will achieve NOTHING

I see that iPhone has launched some new products. I'm still not convinced about the iPhone or IOS and will not be "downgrading" from my trusted Android.

The more I learn to use #AI and the ecosystem around it, I feel like I'm gaining superpowers. All the things I couldn't do, it's just available to me. I just have to learn to use these powers.

As you know, I’m not a religious person, but my favourite line in The Bible is “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.” It basically means “Oh, shut the fuck up. You’re a cunt too sometimes.” Thanks, Jesus 🙏

A home printer is an absolute necessity if you have kids ( both school and university). Yes, the need for a printer reduces significantly if you're single or DINK.

From 13 operators to just five, out of which BSNL and MTNL are not even considered as serious players. A country of so many people have three telecom service providers to choose from. None better than the other.

Liberals take positions that make them look good and feel good — and show very little interest in the actual consequences for others, even when liberal policies are leaving havoc in their wake.

The Russians and Chinese do not speak English in sufficient numbers. The Indians, on the other hand, do speak English. Secondly, we are the humping capital of the world, so we have too many people. Add to that cheap data provided by Jio. The West is not accustomed to receiving daily corrections from unrelated people. I see otherwise normal people getting sucked into insane conspiracy theories about the Indian government funding people. While I cannot stop laughing, I also feel bad about some of these Western commentators. Bahut pele jaa rahe hai bichaare aaj kal. But this has just started. India will get richer; more and more people will join the internet, and they will correct you in English. We are not an isolated society. China believed in isolationism. We believe in entering the global discourse and trolling you with brilliant Bollywood memes.

"Eat at a local restaurant tonight. Get the cream sauce. Have a cold pint at 4 o’clock in a mostly empty bar. Go somewhere you’ve never been. Listen to someone you think may have nothing in common with you. Order the steak rare. Eat an oyster. Be open to a world where you may not understand or agree with the person next to you, but have a drink with them anyways. Eat slowly. Tip your server. Check in on your friends. Check in on yourself. Enjoy the ride." - Anthony Bourdain
