5 years ago today I released the first version of Credo, a static code analysis tool for #elixirlang with a focus on code consistency and teaching.

I'm on the job market. If you know of any exciting companies using Elixir that are hiring and do remote work let me know.

Hey friends. I’m looking for a junior-to-mid backend engineer to join my team (which is just me) at @Veeps. It's a great team (still just me). 100% @elixirlang and LiveView, but backend heavy. DMs are open 🤓
10 years ago, I published the first version of Inch. Wow.
This was not only my first project to gain some publicity in the Ruby community, but its Elixir version was also my first public Elixir project.

I'm creating a testing library to write feature tests (no JS) regardless of whether you're visiting a LiveView or static page.
Been wanting something like it for a while. Finally started working on it.
Any pitfalls I should consider?
Example usage 👇
#MyElixirStatus

ALT Has a test "can create a user" that takes a connection struct as a param. The test then reads: conn |> visit("/") # <- could be LiveView or static page |> click_link("Users") # <- navigate between LiveViews and static pages |> fill_form("#user-form", name: "Aragorn", email: "[email protected]") |> click_button("Create") # <- submits LiveView forms and regular forms |> assert_has(".user", "Aragorn") # <- provides better error messages

Interested in @37signals ONCE: Campfire but would rather build your own? Check out BuildItWithPhoenix.com and you'll get a huge head start. @elixirphoenix is the perfect framework for things like chat. #MyElixirStatus cc @elixirlang
I just realized that @chris_mccord can now finally apply to job ads requiring 10 years of Phoenix experience 😅

Tomorrow marks 13 years since the first commit to the Elixir repo. And today we celebrate by announcing that Elixir is, officially, a gradually typed language:
Aaaaand it's finally out ✨
Credo 1.7 brings SARIF support, checks IDs and the ability to pass multiple files to the Mix task.

If you're like me (spending New Year's Eve on the interwebs), you might be interested that Credo's first RC for version 1.7 just dropped 👏 #myelixirstatus

I asked a question about Phoenix.View.render_existing/3's deprecation & upgrade instructions 90 days ago on Elixir forum and am still searching for an answer.
Anyone do a similar migration from using render_existing for _meta.<name>.eex? @elixirphoenix

A friend of mine is looking for remote #ElixirJobs, and I figured I'd share the list of places I suggested they apply.
This is not at all a complete list of cool places that are out there, but it's the places *I* would consider working at.

How has this escaped me? Tooling and ztility are really Elixir‘s strong suit!
TIL Mix.Shell.yes/1 can be used to create a yes/no prompt in your mix task. I've been doing IO.gets and parsing the input before #MyElixirStatus
