JUSTICE FOR PUERTO RICO. HONORING THE MEMORY OF A HERO. The U.S. District Court in San Juan sentenced Luis Nomar Isaac Sánchez, also known as “C-Dobleta,” to 45 years in federal prison for his involvement with the criminal organization responsible for the murder of Puerto Rico Police Sergeant Eliezer Ramos Vélez. Through the efforts of the Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF), we reaffirm our commitment to dismantling criminal organizations and bringing those who threaten the safety of our communities to justice. This sentence represents a significant outcome for Puerto Rico, our law enforcement partners, and, most importantly, the family of Sergeant Ramos Vélez, whose memory and sacrifice we honor today. His service will never be forgotten.
