I've read so many fics that get the hollanov timeline wrong, I think some of them didn't read the books and are just copying other fics that also got it wrong? But so many of them don't realize the charity was announced after Ilya moved to Ottawa

the contempt for the closet in this fandom is like. there are fics where it feels like the author sees wanting to stay closeted as lying or dishonesty, and therefore bad. or abusing your partner. as opposed to a question of safety.

I love forced proximity hollanov anytime prior to tunamelt because you can feel the author having to physically restrain themselves from fast burn because I truly believe if you lock those two in a room under any context they'll emerge married a few days later
