reading Fichte and Schelling, it seems to me that 'subject-object' relation is a pseudo-problem, a Cartesian red herring inherited unexamined, and so Schelling's idealist naturalizing of this dualism is erroneous from the very start. What is most foundational and certain is not the 'unconditioned', which is clearly already conditioned when conceptualized, but the properly conditioned, the common product of finite egos made actual (and ethical) by the possibility of any and all egos. In other words, there must be foundationalist dualist principle, but it comes not from subject-object relation but from the subject-making--object-made relation, a wholly experiential principle of gestalting, in a way that is not mere Fichtean striving but co-creation amongst equal egos. Here, correspondence and coherence are not enemies, but co-constituents of the task. This also preserves the possibility of the existence of different subjects, instead of just one Subjective Ego.
