BDUC (bleeding disorder of unknown cause ) patients show reduced platelet adhesion/ thrombus formation.➡️ To diagnose BDUC, platelet light transmission aggregometry should be performed as a minimum assessment. Platelet transfusions can be a potential treatment option.

Who are the leaders in the field of inherited platelet disorders? This is what ChatGPT said. Paul Bray is retiring this month. He has been a stellar mentor and I have been fortunate to work with him. Shout out to the others too for their work recognized by AI :)

. @FrederikDenorme knocks it out of the park once again with a knock-in model investigating a (druggable) key gene variant leading to ⬆️platelet activation ⬆️NETs and ofc ⬆️stroke risk. Definitely highlights the huge need for greater #diversity in clinical trials
Outstanding talk from Brinkhous finalist @FrederikDenorme at #vasculardiscovery23. Great session with great talks from @Colin_E_Evans @WSteveHur @AmilyLiGuo
