I know it was just a pre-season match, but I would still run through a wall for him if I were a player in that locker room😅

Luka Jovanović's (2005) goal for Australia U18 vs. Portugal overnight. Probably the best-constructed goal I've seen Australia score at any level in the past few years. It's great to see Australian players capable of and coached to take calculated risks in possession.

DM request: Craig Goodwin is a superstar in Australia with maxed out finishing probability and very high defending probability and decent passing game probability. It is a shame he never played in Europe. Now he is too old for that. Replacement value for @AdelaideUnited = €292,830. Many smaller European clubs could find so much gold in Australia if only they paid attention.

Just arrived in Sorrento and the entire bay of Naples has gone scudetto-crazy. This street is celebrating every single member of the title-winning squad and there are pictures of Diego everywhere 💙 – at Sorrento, Campania

xT and xG are popular terms in football analytics. xG gives us an idea on attacking output while xT tells how frequently our team arrives to threatening zones, how good our progression is. If we combine these two, we can get more insight about offensive and defensive efficiencies

Australia won hearts and minds with their performances at the 2022 World Cup. But the pride in their domestic league is under threat with new proposed changes.

In a tournament costing a quarter of a trillion, designed to rehabilitate a dictatorship, with every move PR-optimised & choreographed, the fact that one enduring image of the whole thing will be a goalkeeper pretending a golden glove statue is his willy will never not be funny.
