MAGAs see a white kid shoot up a school, a white man shoot Charlie Kirk, a white man traffick kids on an island where a white woman helps him out, a white senator convicted for bribery, and on and on, then have the nerve to say this nation is being ruined by brown immigrants and Muslims.🤦‍♂️🤣

Thank you, @SenBlumenthal and @SenThomTillis, for the opportunity to meet with you and your colleagues from both parties and both chambers of Congress. I informed them about Russia’s brutal “shahed” drone attack in the Kharkiv region, where Russia killed six people, including a mother and her child, who was just over a year old. I showed the horrifying photos from the scene – a child killed in a stroller… This is how Russia responds to sanctions waivers and reduced pressure. I also explained where things stand with intelligence sharing and Starlink operations in Ukraine. Unfortunately, we received no early warning from our partners about the first wave of the Russian ballistic missile attack last night. And we still face speed restrictions on Starlink and Starshield services in different parts of the front. No explanation for either of these issues has been provided to Ukraine by the American side. Our teams will follow up on everything discussed today. I thank everybody who participated in this call for their strong support.

I was a teacher before law school. I couldn’t convince teenagers to wear deodorant. The idea that teachers are convincing kids that they should get sex changes is utterly ludicrous.

Doss: "The Strait of Hormuz wasn't closed before this war." Jennings: "It's not closed now." Phillip: "I want you to actually answer this question, because this is just evidence of a general disregard for reality. If you claim the Strait of Hormuz is open, why are only 10 oil tankers passing through it right now?" Jennings: "We don't need all that volume right now. Ultimately, it doesn't matter, because we've found a way to move oil out of the region." Phillip: "Then why haven't gas prices come down?"

99% of women and girls in Somalia have been mutilated in the following way: the clitoris is cut off, along with the inner labia. Then the inner flesh of the outer labia is removed before both sides are sewn tightly together, leaving a hole no bigger than a matchstick for urine and menses to trickle through. All of this is done in childhood, and without any form of anesthesia whatsoever. Sometimes the little girl is given a scrap of leather or a stick to bite down on. The cutters use old razor blades, or sometimes a piece of broken glass. This is only the beginning of a girl’s pain. Most wedding nights in Somalia are aided by “the little knife” — that is, the new husband slices his bride open so that he can penetrate her now cut and bleeding scar tissue. Some men, however, simply batter their way through, tearing that tiny hole open by sheer force. When a woman goes into labor, she’s cut open more widely, then sewn back up afterwards so that when sex resumes she will have to be cut open yet again. This practice leads to countless deaths from infection and a drastic increase in maternal mortality, but Somali men still refuse to marry uncut women, forcing mothers to have their daughters cut or face social stigma. Uncut girls are seen as dirty; the term for clitoris is a playground taunt in Somalia, and girls who are not cut are usually ostracized by their peers. The Somali government recently debated the legality of this appalling custom, and the parliament largely split along gender lines. Female MPs roundly condemned FGM, while male MPs insisted that having a clitoris made a woman more difficult to penetrate, and quoted the hadith in which Muhammad condoned the practice. These are educated men who nevertheless claim that cutting a girl is necessary in order to control her sexuality, and that an uncut woman will be promiscuous and untrustworthy. In spite of the Somali government’s continued support for FGM, foreign aid continues to flow into Somalia unobstructed. The West should refuse to give the Somali government so much as a single dollar until they outlaw FGM and take positive steps to combat the problem. One tactic that has been highly successful involves showing Somali men a video of a girl being mutilated. Because FGM is seen as women’s business, most men have no idea what it entails. Men who watch this video are horrified, and the most common reaction has been “Not my daughter!” This proves that FGM is not hopelessly entrenched in Somali culture. Western pressure and resources could make an enormous difference in the lives of Somali women and girls, and put a stop to this barbaric practice.

🇺🇦 ZELENSKYY'S MESSAGE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has delivered a direct and deeply serious message to Americans: If the United States officially sides with Russia, Ukraine will not be able to win this war. We will not be able to withstand it. Zelenskyy expressed hope that Donald Trump would stand with Ukraine or, at the very least, maintain a neutral position rather than support the aggressor. He also addressed the continuing restrictions on Starlink, stressing that the system's full functionality has still not been restored. Zelenskyy said he hoped Trump would reconsider his decisions, which he described as mistakes that would benefit neither Ukraine nor the United States. One of his most alarming statements concerned American intelligence. According to Zelenskyy, only the United States possesses the intelligence capabilities Ukraine needs to detect Russian ballistic missile launches in time. For three days, Ukraine did not receive that information. These are not abstract diplomatic disagreements. They concern the ability to protect Ukrainian cities, intercept incoming missiles, and save civilian lives. Ukraine is not asking America to fight its war. Ukraine is asking America not to help Russia win it. The choice facing Washington is not simply between supporting Ukraine and remaining neutral. It is also about whether the United States will continue standing for the principles of sovereignty, freedom, and resistance to aggression. Ukraine has been fighting for its survival. It must not be abandoned to the country trying to destroy it. 🇺🇦 STAND WITH UKRAINE.

BREAKING: BETRAYAL! Trump’s Russia sanctions waiver is so DANGEROUS that even the Murdoch media empire is turning against him. When the multi-tentacled right-wing propaganda machine that is the Murdoch family empire is calling you out for cozying up to the condemnable Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, you may have finally gone too far. The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board just unloaded on Donald Trump for waiving tariffs and sanctions on Russia that were enacted in a law that passed the Senate 86-11. That law gave Trump 30 days to impose tariffs of up to 500 percent on Russian imports, plus duties of up to 100 percent on major buyers of Russian oil and gas, including China and India. More tariffs? Who could imagine that Trump would ever object to a law that gave him MORE tariff power? Trump, however, signed an executive order two days before the new law took effect, nullifying the punitive tariffs instead. The executive order also suspends sanctions on Russian officials, state bodies, banks, energy companies, and the ships Moscow uses to dodge restrictions. Trump’s only explanation for the move was that he believes that it’s in the “national interests” of the United States. We could think of a few more possible reasons, including keeping Putin happy enough to prevent him from releasing the rumored “kompromat” he has been compiling on the American president for decades, and the potential business deals for Russian natural resources that could enrich Trump and his family immensely. The Journal wasn’t buying Trump’s excuses either. “The opposite is true,” the editorial said. It accused Trump of sticking “a shiv in the back” of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s legacy, and said Trump is now “Mr. Putin’s best friend in the world, after perhaps China’s Xi Jinping.” Reality delivered its own verdict almost immediately. Russia launched one of its largest attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, hitting more than 15 power generation and transmission facilities, just days after Trump announced an “energy ceasefire.” The Journal says Ukraine honored the pause until it was clear Russia hadn’t, yet Trump kept blaming Kyiv. Afterward, Trump said he believed Putin was willing to make a peace deal while questioning whether Zelensky was. Zelensky said the decision “definitely helps only the Russians. It only fuels their satisfaction and their desire to keep killing people.” Sen. Richard Blumenthal, who helped write the law, said Trump “stands on the side of a bloodthirsty thug & the enablers of Russia’s war machine.” The Journal argued that “Trump wants Ukraine to surrender on Mr. Putin’s terms.” Meanwhile, Trump has sharply cut military aid to Ukraine, and envoy Steve Witkoff has made at least two trips to Moscow in the past year. The Journal said Trump has been “courting Mr. Putin” but “to no avail.” The Journal’s editorial board issued a stark warning for Congress: after the Nov. 3 election, there needs to be “a bipartisan reckoning” over Trump’s “budding alliance with the Kremlin.” We say, why wait? When Fox News’s corporate cousins are demanding accountability, the question becomes how long Republicans in Congress can stay quiet and — even more crucially — can the Trump administration survive without the support of the media behemoth that led to its initial success at the polls. Please like and share to delight in the sight of Trump being abandoned by his media allies!

THINK ABOUT WHAT THEY SAID.... THINK REALLY, REALLY HARD. They said this after Ukraine bombed Russia's data centers. Dumbfuck @JackPosobiec said: "Zelensky is attempting to sabotage Trump in the midterms now." Stupid ass @BasedMikeLee @SenMikeLee said: "Zelenskyy is working overtime. To help Democrats in November." NOW THINK ABOUT THIS.... If Ukraine bombing Russian data centers somehow "helps" Democrats win the midterms, what does that tell you Russia was doing for Republicans? So much for that — "There is no Russian collusion," LIE, right?

This is so perfect. Honestly, I thought "Tommy" was a plant by the way he walked off at the end. Abdul El-Sayed just looks too good here. But after looking it up, I learned he was a former Josh Hawley staffer. This is the most inspiring performance by an American politician that I can remember seeing. El-Sayed was faced with a bigoted question. He didn't hide from it or pander. He broke down why it was a bigoted question, and gave a stirring defense of American principles and the Constitution. At the end, his interlocutor wouldn't condemn Christian Nationalism! El-Sayed has a perfect response to this, and "everybody clapped." A lot of us have had this experience of arguing with right-wingers, questioning them, and then finding out that they have no principles, they're just bigots. A Hawley staffer will talk about the US Constitution and freedom of religion to attack a Muslim politician, and sing a completely different tune when it comes to Christian fundamentalists. Again, the "everybody clapped" nature of this, followed by Tommy walking off in shame, made me think that he was a plant. But no. This was a real-life rightoid, getting exposed as the hateful, hypocritical bigot that he is in front of the entire world. Abdul El-Sayed's rise in American politics has made me a lot more optimistic about our future.
This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his.

When racists ask questions from a racist perspective, they will never accept the answer, even if it’s the one they wanted, because they are still racist afterwards.
🔥 “Answer the question, Tommy — I think you’re the one who needs to read the constitution, not me.” @AbdulElSayed skillfully handles a bigoted Islamophobic heckler and exposes him as the true religious zealot in the room.
