Read “I, Pencil” by Leonard Read and you will quickly realize why the gov’t trying to control price on commodities is absolutely terrible economic policy.
Being told you can’t do or accomplish something is one of life’s most powerful and underrated motivations.
Entrepreneurship = Sacrifice:
1. In the beginning you probably won’t make any money or take a salary. (My first paycheck didn’t come until year five.)
2. You’ll work a 100 hours a week for the unforeseeable future. (I’m 15 years in and still have these weeks, occasionally.)
3. Running a business is extremely lonely. (If I didn’t have a co-founder, my business would have never survived.)
4. You’ll potentially damage all of your relationships. (Building a business has cost me valuable relationships and time with both friends, family, and my kids. Success does not come for free.)
5. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. (I still deal with most of the fires, legal, and issues. It’s very hard to offload, even at scale. Expect a lot of sleepless nights.)
Just get started. Whatever it is that your procrastinating about because you think the timing isn't right or it's not ready or you don't have the perfect setup. Just start!
Effort = Interest. Doesn’t matter whether it’s work, life, or relationships. If you’re not putting effort in your not interested. Period.
People that don’t know you often save you in their phone as “X Guy”. “Joe Wood Guy”. What do you want people to save you as?
History shows that it never really ends well for any man that’s “put their face on a currency” while they were still alive. #SBF_FTX
