🚀Exciting news! I'm thrilled to share my first preprint as a post-doc at @slcuplants. We used snRNA-seq to capture, for the first time, the transcriptome of dissected wild-type shoot apical meristems (SAM) in Arabidopsis thaliana at the single-cell level.

It's been exactly two years since The Flying Pig was forced to close. Two years since the lease to Justine and Matt Hatfield was terminated and the family evicted. Two years since Pace Ltd launched their appallingly cynical 'Save the Flying Pig' campaign whose purpose was nothing of the sort. Two years during which The Flying Pig could have continued serving the community as a pub and vibrant music venue. Two years.

Here first author @alebonfanti_ab combined AFM and timelapse microscopy to show that new cell walls in Marchantia become stiffer than those of the parental cell. This correlated with the growth of individual walls and can influence the shape of the cells.
