I wouldn’t call them inimitable! There are many such successful recipes to be found. Successful countries, companies, etc. But they are the exception in crypto for sure. Luckily, through all the tough times, Zcash has developed a working recipe atm.
I keep thinking about this comment from roommatemusing: xitter.cf/roommatemusing/status/… I really agree with it. Zcash’s culture and institutions, including coin-holders, are inimitable, irreplaceable, and are the ongoing source of Zcash’s value. ⤵️
Zcash just retroactively self-funded $1.5m to the researcher who found and disclosed the Orchard bug via a permissionless coinholder vote administered by a Zcash non-profit. You can’t build these type of deep governance, institutional, and cultural systems overnight.

Ppl saw how quickly and honorably the Zcash devs identified and fixed a defcon 1-level protocol bug and said this is a project to invest in. Bullish bug.

Rewatched the Tom Holland Spider-Man’s and sadly, they’re mostly slop. Half the movies are just people stuttering over each other. Childish jokes that take you out of the movie. The action is just rote.. Most emotional part is Tobey and Doc Ock coming back.

Crypto trading activity is declining:
Daily trading volume across the 44 spot crypto exchanges tracked by Kaiko fell to ~$15 billion last week, the lowest level of the year.
This marks a -70% decline from January peak levels.
By comparison, in February, there were 2 trading days when volume exceeded $100 billion.
As a result, the average daily volume trend has fallen -50% since December 2025, to $20 billion, the lowest this year.
Meanwhile, trading volume remains heavily concentrated, with the 6 largest exchanges accounting for more than 60% of total activity.
Crypto market liquidity is drying up.
The Ironwood migration stats are so far quite momentous. The wallets I track (Ywallet, Zkool, Zodl) don’t seem to have a migrate tool yet, so I wonder how people have been migrating?
