Scotland does NOT NEED a "Secretary of State", (& if we did, it would not be this obsequious wee turd) nor "Scottish" Office - we have an elected government Blatant attempt by #Liebour to upstage @theSNP during conference They want to disempower Holyrood because they can't win!
Devolution was never meant to stop at Holyrood’s door. We have one of the strongest devolved Parliaments in Europe and yet we’re still one of its most centralised nations. We want to change that & want to work with the Scottish Government to empower Scotland’s regions.

Blimey! Tuned into BBC news & caught Burnham addressing an audience in Scotland. Making the case for devolution and more regional autonomy. Does he realise - is he aware : He is - quite unwittingly - making the case for Scottish Independence !!

Easily seen that the yoons are panicking when Burnham and Badenoch both turn up in Scotland during the SNP conference. Never to be seen at any other time because they can’t be bothered with Scotland except for it’s resources to pay the interest on the UK £3 trillion debt

As a Scot my "message" to @andyburnham is "simple", let the people of Scotland decide on their own future.

“You can tell the economic character of a nation by the way its infrastructure works.” Powerful words from George Monbiot on BBC Question Time explaining how Wales’s economy was built to extract wealth rather than enrich its own people, and why we need the powers to put that right. #Annibyniaeth 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 #indyWales

Isn’t it sad that it has to take an Englishman like George Monbiot to point out to a supposed ‘Welshman’ like Reform’s James Evans about the injustices Wales has endured over the centuries and how we continue to be shafted by continous Westminster governments?
Clywch Clywch!!!!! Unionists have always held Cymru back. #bbcqt

Alexander really is the epitome of a Brit nationalist in Scotland: xitter.cf/SaulStaniforth/status/… Contemptible & patronising.
Asked about the fact that younger people in Scotland favour independence more, Douglas Alexander says the debate around independence is sterile & as people get older & get homes & jobs & pensions, their views change.

“A right you're never allowed to use is not a right at all.” The people of Scotland must have the chance to decide their own future. Keith Brown argues that winning that right starts with listening, having conversations and building support. Read his full #SNP26 speech: snp.org/our-right-to-decide-…

“If you live in Scotland, if you choose to make your life here in Scotland, then you are one of us.” Scotland belongs to everyone who calls it home. No matter where you're from, your background or your beliefs, everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. #SNP26

Choose Scotland. Choose independence. We caught up with Hannah Mary Goodlad MSP and Steven Campbell at SNP conference to talk about the huge opportunity for Scotland if we break from the Westminster system.

House of Bruar rely on selling Scotland as a playground to the rich to sell their very expensive merchandise: xitter.cf/margaret8662254/status… Unfortunately like a number of 'Scottish' companies they argued for a No vote to independence in 2014. They should not be forgotten or forgiven.
How bad is that ad for House of Bruar, filled with twee clichés,about how wonderful Scotland is yet told their staff to vote no in the referendum.I wouldn't spend a pound in their place.

Obama came to Glasgow tonight and was everything I'd hoped for. Erudite, compassionate, thoughtful and generous. Still they brought a guy up from England to interview him. What's wrong wi' Dougie Donnelly or chic Young!

"In 2014, the UK Government promised the people of Scotland that by voting to remain in the UK their pensions would be more secure. In 2026, that promise was broken by Andy Burnham. I will oppose any change to the state pension which will make my constituents poorer."

Abolishing Holyrood used to be the stuff of fringe-group conspiracies. Now it's mainstream policy for right and far-right Unionist parties
Replying to @KemiBadenoch
@KemiBadenoch thinks this is a vote winner in Scotland. Reform and Restore want to go further and abolish the Scottish Parliament completely.

Correct. I tweet in both my native languages, Scots and English, and being bilingual made it easier for me to learn French, German, Portuguese, and Russian. I do realise though that this must be mind blowing for a North British monoglot.
Not a word in "Scoats" in this post.

When English nonentities like this pronounce on the future of my nation I am scunnered for me and my people. If you live in Scotland and think this is normal and acceptable, then I’m afraid you’re a colonised, provincial North Briton, not a Scot.
The secretary of state for Justice (an MP for Nottingham) rules out holding another Scottish independence referendum. He also says that voting on whether to be a member of the (European) Union is different to voting on whether to be a member of the union.

Burnham wants to help with the cost of living crisis. Could do it in a second in Scotland. Give us electricity zonal pricing. Cheapest energy then in Western Europe. He won't. Why? Can't have Scotland doing better than England. A Union of Equals? Never. Always England first.
