NON ! Nayib Bukele n’était pas au “Loray Kale” en politique avant d’accéder à la fonction suprême. Ce n’était pas un homme sans expérience, sans profonde compréhension de l’État, sans engagement véritable ni vision claire. Il a été maire à deux reprises (2012-2015 et 2015-2018) avant de devenir président. Il a donc fait ses classes; il a été sur les bancs de l’expérience.
Fidèle à ma vision exprimée dans mon livre (Pourquoi Haïti Peut Réussir, 2019), je continue de croire qu'il nous faut des #Capables au pouvoir. Dans cette urgence nationale qui s’impose, notre Haïti a plutôt besoin de ses capables.

Monsieur @claudejoseph03, le vrai changement ne vient pas de cautionner un système brisé. Lorsque ce processus sombrera dans la violence, l'exclusion, ou un autre vote volé comme tant d'autres avant lui, souvenez-vous : EDE a choisi de lui prêter sa crédibilité. Quand tout s'effondrera à nouveau — et l'histoire dit que cela arrivera — la responsabilité retombera entièrement sur ceux qui ont accepté de jouer le jeu au lieu d'exiger d'abord de véritables conditions. 🇭🇹
L’enregistrement du Parti EDE en vue de sa participation aux prochaines joutes électorales constitue avant tout un acte politique de soutien au processus électoral, dans un contexte où l’actuel gouvernement, largement dominé par une famille politique bien connue, s’apprête, de manière antidémocratique et partisane, à modifier la composition du Conseil Électoral Provisoire.
Tout en demeurant attaché au Pacte National pour la Stabilité et l’Organisation des Élections, le Parti EDE estime qu’une telle démarche risque d’entraver un processus politique déjà particulièrement fragile.

I once declared with fervent conviction that if certain political actors ran for president again, so would I. But I have come to understand that yesterday’s politics must no longer dictate my purpose. A nation cannot transform while the very political order that contributed to its decline continues to command applause.
I will remain outside this electoral race, but never outside the struggle to see my homeland become a developed nation in my lifetime.
My faith in Haiti has never wavered, nor will it ever. I have simply outgrown the belief that my commitment to its transformation can only be expressed through the pursuit of political office.
My convictions remain unchanged. What has evolved is my understanding of leadership, responsibility, and how best to serve my country.
