Sales of MBP 16” must be ridiculously low this year. Who wants the Intel version?

Build times are insane - Kotlin + Kapt + Android + Gradle. Any good tricks to improve the situation?
I've been working with Kotlin and Python for 16 months. Kotlin is.. Ok? Kinda verbose, but you do have union types. I'm using Kotlin because of Android, and wow, Android is a mess!

Python is impossible to get right. Me and my two colleagues have trouble building each others projects. How is this even possible? To me, Python is like a complete toy where you have to dockerise everything just to get repeatable results!

The older I get, the more socialist I become
People told me I would be a republican when I got older, which definitely didn't happen, but I did get more moderate in a way. Instead of pushing hard on every injustice I'm now like "hey let's do the basics at least please"

I just rewatched The Dark Knight Rises and between Hans Zimmer and Chris Nolan it’s just magic!

Not sure what was more cringe - WW84 or the pandemic ’Imagine’ cover.

Wow, removing Chrome worked wonders, even though I wasn't using it. Battery life tripled and MBP is quiet now!
So it turns out that Google Chrome was making everything on my computer slow *even when it wasn’t running*, because it installs something called Keystone which is basically malware. I made a website because this shouldn’t happen: chromeisbad.com

Playing around with @sveltejs. Refreshing to not have to npm install for 8 minutes ;)

I really like Apples priorities with the M1. They could have made it blazingly fast with a whiny fan and useless battery life. Instead they settled for really fast and quiet.

In that vein, I can recommend Turbo Boost Switcher Pro for the old Intel MBPs. Just $10 to make it quiet down a lot. tbswitcher.rugarciap.com/
