She's coming to visit @roguenamesake

⠀ “ oh vax , if only you were as good a liar as you are kind . ” she said with a knowing look . ⠀

⠀ “ is what any guilty person says , darling . ” she grins , showing him some lenience . “ you don’t happen to know why our kitchen looks messier than all of your bedrooms combined then ? ” ⠀

⠀ these children are going to be the death of her — sometimes she’d rather face the entire chroma conclave again . ⠀

A nod, laying beside him now as she held him close. "Okay...I will."

"Okay...um...I can leave if you want to rest?"

She nodded, stroking his hair a bit. "Drink some juice at least? It'll help."

Her ears drooped slightly, knowing she had been in that same boat. Did...she get him sick? "I-i see...well...maybe the soup will help?"

"Yea...? You look like I do on a good day" She teased slightly, setting the tray on his nightstand as she sat by him. "Have the clerics been able to help you?"

Opening the door, carrying soup and some orange juice for him. "Hey...you feeling okay?"

She winced at the cough, ough...how she wished to take his sickness. "Yea..its me. Can...can I come in?"

There's a knock at his door, "Danny...? Are you awake?"

“Of course I can. Scoot over,” she says before squeezing in, wrapping her son in her arms. Her fingers smooth over his hair, still feeling his heat beneath her touch. “I’ll have to get you a cold washcloth soon. We need to bring your body temperature down.”
