I am beyond blessed and excited to announce that I will further my academic and athletic career at Louisiana State University!💜💛
First and foremost, I want to thank God for giving me this opportunity. Without Him, none of this would be possible! I am so thankful for my family, friends, coaches, and teammates who have supported me every step of the way and have helped me become not only the best player I can be, but also a better person. Lastly, I want to thank the entire LSU coaching staff for believing in me, supporting me, and giving me the opportunity to live out my lifelong dream of becoming a Tiger! I am beyond grateful and so excited for this next chapter! GEAUX TIGERS!💜💛

The legend, my coach, my friend, Skip Bertman, passed away overnight. He meant so much to all of us whose lives he touched. I will miss him dearly.
“Believe me, a great part of those we have loved, though chance has removed their persons, still abides with us. The past is ours, and there is nothing more secure for us than that which has been.” — Seneca

The word legend is often used to signify the greatness of a person, but in sports being a legend isn’t measured by the trophies you collect. Those are just symbols of accomplishments.
A legend is a person who changes a standard forever, and that is what Skip Bertman did. He took something ordinary and made it extraordinary.
Most importantly, he left his players and those he touched better than he found them. His goal was to impact the scoreboard of life. Louisiana will dearly miss him!
