The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person. The common good can be safeguarded and the requirements of justice can be met without recourse to capital punishment: effective systems of detention have been developed that protect citizens while at the same time do not completely deprive those who are guilty of the possibility of redemption. #NoDeathPenalty

Pope Leo XIV’s Vatican newspaper is the only publication in the Western world to run the photograph of 150 Iranian girls' graves — killed in President Trump's military strikes — on its front page.

George Galloway:
The massacre of 167 girls, aged 7 to 12, at an elementary school in Iran is the greatest atrocity committed by the United States since the Vietnam War.
It is the largest mass killing of schoolgirls ever recorded in world history.
Yet no one is talking about it

Labor leadership defending decisions to limit democratic protest and invite the head of a foreign state committing genocide to Australia.
The police violence in Sydney was disgusting. What has happened to my party? Why are they defending genocide and police violence?

There's only one reason the IDF accepts this figure: they know the real number is much, much higher.
Palestinians tried to tell the world. Shame on all those who discredited them.
By hiding the genocide, you fuelled the genocide.

There is no ceasefire.
Just Israeli death and destruction.
Every single day, for decades.
Relentless oppression.

Remember Hind Rajab.
Just 6 years old. She sat for hours on the phone to paramedics with 6 murdered family members around her.
She told them “They are shooting at us. The tank is next to me.”
The Red Cross waited hours for Israel to permit them rescue her.
When the ambulance that was cleared to rescue arrived they executed the medics and then murdered her putting 355 bullets into the car she was in.
Her final words to paramedics and recorded were "I’m so scared, please come".

War is back in vogue and a zeal for war is spreading. The principle established after the Second World War, which prohibited nations from using force to violate the borders of others, has been completely undermined. #Peace is no longer sought as a gift and a desirable good in itself. Instead, peace is sought through weapons as a condition for asserting one’s own dominion. This gravely threatens the rule of law, which is the foundation of all peaceful civil coexistence.

Correction.
The ALP Govt took 4 weeks to call an RC into Bondi after first calls for it.
The LNP took 364 weeks (7 years) to call an RC into veteran suicide after first calls for it. (During that time 500 more veterans took their lives)

I grew up as a Palestinian Christian in Palestine. I was beaten dozens of times by the Israeli military simply for being Palestinian, and on one occasion I was arrested for attempting to go to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Israel prevented me from seeing my family except twice over the last 15 years because I lived in Ramallah while they were in Gaza. Moreover, Israel killed my father and my sister in Gaza.
So when I see Netanyahu using “Christian rights” to whitewash Israel’s crimes, it is insulting and deeply offensive.
