I have been writing about Government policy since late 2020. What will happen to some of these crazy policies when Labour inevitably lose power? Here’s the response I received from Welsh Government:- ‘An incoming Government may choose to amend or adjust the Budget and funding allocated to implementing policies by introducing a new budget to the Senedd. Some Government policy documents are published as a statutory requirement, for example the Government is required to publish a Future Trends report each Senedd term under the Well-being of Future Generations Act.  There is no general requirement for a new government to rewrite policy documents, though it would be free to do so if it chose’.
