Recalling back the time when I met Somnath Sir back in 2022 I never knew am meeting a man who would lead India to such a historic day for Chandrayaan 3 Lunar landing He is such a humble and down to earth man & i love him It was such a proud and lovely moment for me #Chandrayaan3

Mannn longest post in the history of ISRO. All the space nerds already know this privatisation is win win for both private sector and isro but Indian media made sure isro had to come out and explain with such a long post. Reducing operational overhead to focus on advanced technologies is done by all research based companies in this world. Scientists are there to do R&D, engineers and pvt sector is there to provide it for masses. There's a reason why NASA don't launch rockets to put satellites in space It's a proven model yet when isro does it everyone questions it It pains me to see such agenda against ISRO. Nevertheless, ISRO is focused on their R&D advanced engines with new satellites and the ppl who matter already support them 🚀
Clarification regarding media reports on concerns relating to Space Sector Reforms and the role of ISRO ISRO’s Next Chapter: Leading India’s National Space Ecosystem There has been considerable reporting in parts of the media around the future role of ISRO including speculations and misinformation that there is an attempt to privatise ISRO or reduce its role. These assertions are completely baseless and incorrect. We wish to categorically state that ISRO will neither be privatised nor will its importance be diminished. ISRO will continue to remain India’s principal institution for advanced space research and technology development, national and strategic missions, space science and exploration, and critical and frontier space capabilities. Participation of private sector in space is not about reducing ISRO’s role. It is about enabling ISRO to focus even more strongly on the next generation of India’s space programme, while industry scales mature technologies and capabilities. What is changing is not the importance of ISRO, but the scale and structure of India’s space ecosystem. Towards an ISRO-Led Space Ecosystem The space-sector reforms initiated since 2020 and institutionalised through the Indian Space Policy 2023, along with progressive liberalisation of FDI policy, aim to create a larger, stronger and globally competitive Indian space ecosystem. Industry, start-ups and academia are being enabled to participate across the space value chain, complementing and multiplying ISRO’s capabilities. The reforms should therefore be seen as ecosystem expansion and capability multiplication, not privatisation. As India’s industrial and technological capabilities have grown, mature and scalable activities can increasingly be undertaken by Indian industry. ISRO has already transferred around multiple technologies to industry. Transferring a mature technology does not mean ISRO is withdrawing from that domain. It enables large-scale production, commercialisation, innovation and access to global markets while allowing ISRO’s scientific and technical manpower to concentrate on advanced research, next-generation technologies and complex national missions. The transition is therefore towards an “ISRO-led national space ecosystem.” ISRO’s Focus Will Move Further Towards Frontier Technologies ISRO’s role will progressively strengthen in areas where its scientific expertise matters most: frontier R&D, advanced technologies, human spaceflight, next-generation launch systems, deep-space and planetary missions and strategic national capabilities. It will continue developing cutting-edge technologies, including advanced payloads for communication, navigation and Earth observation, sensors, propulsion systems and other critical technologies. Meanwhile, mature and routinely manufactured systems can increasingly be scaled through industry. Production of mature launch vehicles, routine satellites and other established systems can increasingly be undertaken by industry or PSUs through appropriate competitive processes. This allows ISRO to devote more resources and scientific manpower to the next generation of technologies and missions, while the wider ecosystem provides the investment, manufacturing capacity and scale required by an expanding national space programme.

Happy National space day everyone!! Chandrayaan , mangalyaan, gaganyaan, shukrayaan and many other are not just mere missions ,they prove to be an inspiring factor for the next generation to join Space sector and work towards it.🫡 From humble beginnings to now launching to other planets is not just an achievement but it shows perseverance and technogical advancements that India has made! Hoping for many more to come🔥🚀🇮🇳 #nationalspaceday #isro

INDIA's 🇮🇳 first full flow staged combustion cycle rocket engine😱😱😱 similar to SpaceX starship🚀 Man Astrobase just threw it out of the park in its first attempt.... Astrobase's engine is modelled on the SpaceX Raptor engine running on methalox fuel with 800kN of thrust❤️ They are working on making indias First Reusable Rocket WHICH RETURNS TO ITS LAUNCH SITE 🫡😱 Their Rocket will feature 7 clustered engines and will be capable of putting 3 tonnes of payload to LEO in reusable config which is similar to what ISRO's PSLV delivers🇮🇳 They are aiming for a Hop test in 2027 with orbit aim for 2028 🤌 I knew this company from a year back and was very skeptical of their approach and other stuff but mann they delivered 🫡 This is huggeee... This will unlock huge rocket capabilities for india Well done @neerajKh_ I just hope we get a rapid success and you guys take us ahead in the race of Private Space Rockets sector 🫡
EVEREST — India’s first full-flow staged combustion (FFSC) rocket engine. 80-tonne class. Fully integrated. Designed and manufactured in Bengaluru, India.

Finding a bio signature is wayy different than finding a live microbial life! Space is filled with unknowns, can't be fully sure until we find some evidence of love bacteria there but yeah these studies suggest we might have found some signatures. Let's wait for the samples to come home
After a year of scientific scrutiny, a rock sample collected by the Perseverance rover has been confirmed to contain a potential biosignature. The sample is the best candidate so far to provide evidence of ancient microbial life on Mars. go.nasa.gov/4n35lVM

What is #ISROfixYourPR? As a representative of the Indian space community, I highlight the lack of information about upcoming missions and launches. For years, we've struggled to act as ISRO's PR with minimal details. It's time ISRO recognizes its duty to educate the public. If Vikram Sarabhai were alive, he'd be thrilled with ISRO's achievements but disappointed with its PR. Sarabhai wanted ISRO to benefit Indians, which requires inspiring budding scientists and engineers. ISRO must take note and return to 2014, when it actively engaged the public on Twitter via the Mangalyaan account. #ISRO
