Rochester residents that are provided water from GLWA (east side of City) are under a boil water advisory until further notice.

We are under a Heat Advisory for today. Please take it easy, watch out for each other and our pets too. Please be safe and stay hydrated. #heatwave

Meet our new Motorcycle Officer Braylen Biotti. He was the winner of lunch with a cop from The Brooklands Elementary School fundraiser. He checked out the police motorcycle with Ofc Kahrs & took an ATV ride with Ofc. Chisholm. We had a great pizza lunch with him, his sister & mom

It's going to be a hot one out there. Please make sure you keep your fluids up and look for some extra shade when your can. We all need to keep an extra eye out for our elderly and pets in this heat. #heat #heatwave #staycool

Today is the final day in Washington DC for our Motor Officers. Today they participated in Peace Officer Memorial Day services at the capital. They will be heading home tomorrow morning. We thank them for a job well done representing our department.

Today our Ofc’s met with surviving children of fallen officers. The motorcycle Ofc’s handed out bags of RPD goodies. Sadly there were over 200 kids hosted at the FBI Academy. This is always an emotional day for the motor Ofc’s. We are honored to be there to support these kids.

It is National Police Week with Sun. being Police Officers Memorial Day. Ofc Kahrs & Ofc. Dusovic are representing RPD in Wash. DC. They will be providing motor escort duties for families of fallen officers. The fallen officers will be honored during ceremonies held this week.

A huge thank you to everyone who restocks the Freedge. Mother Hubbard’s Cupboards was looking a little bare. We took our turn filling it up. So happy this service is here for those in need. Remember leave what you can and take what you need. #freedge #freefreege

Happy Mother's Day! A special thank you to all the Mothers who are working today in service to others. #MothersDay

In talking to K-9 Kitt recently. He mentioned seeing a lot of posts about Walter & Pearl. He asked for some equal time. Here Is Kitt locating a bag of narcotics on the top of the door during training. He keeps barking until Ofc. Knight gives him the reward for finding the prize.

We wanted to share this thank you note we received today from the residents of Avon Towers. Remember the motto of the Freedge is, take what you need and leave what you can. Thank you to all who pitch in to help those in need.

Walter wishes everyone a Happy Easter. He also reminds you to keep your pets away from chocolate candy too. He still hopes to get lots of other treats from the Easter Bunny. #HappyEaster

Hey everybody, wish Walter a big Happy Birthday. He proudly turns one today. Had to contend with the wind on his sign but you get the idea, right! #policecomfortdog #policetherpydog

Please make sure your Friday dinner plans include a pierogi dinner for a good cause at the Rochester Fire Department. Dinner starts Friday night at 4pm. This event is a fundraiser supporting Ukraine! See you there.

Officer Knight is always training with K-9 Kitt & Pearl. Here Pearl is searching for explosives that have been hidden within the boxes. Pearl sits to point out the area for Ofc Knight to further search. Pearl always loves a good treat for a job well done. #policek9 #bombdog

We enjoyed having lunch with Baldwin Elementary student Constantin Bartl and his family. He was winner of lunch with a Cop in the recent Rochester Community Schools charity auction. #futureofficer #lunchwithacop #rcscommuntyfoundation
